The Braves enter the KCAC Invitational coming off a 55-0 victory over Cottey College on last Wednesday afternoon at Twin Lakes Park in Nevada, Mo. Ottawa finished the game with 358 yards of offense, 355 yards passing and three yards passing. Cottey had 98 yards of offense, -9 yards rushing and 107 yards passing.
In the win over the Comets,
Madysen Carrera went 17-for-18 through the air for 209 yards and four touchdowns.
Sidney Rood was 6-for-8 through the air for 111 yards and three touchdowns.
Clara Beaudoin had eight receptions for 74 yards and one touchdown.
Jazlyn Camacho led OU with 112 yards receiving. Camacho and Linkous had two touchdown receptions apiece.
Briana Bido led OU with five tackles.
Hope Humes had four tackles, and
Abby Brown and
Alyssa Gillespie had three tackles apiece.
Through 12 games this season, OU is averaging 37.3 points per game while holding opponents to 11.1 points per game. Ottawa has rushed for 673 yards and 17 touchdowns and passed for 2,981 and 47 touchdowns.
The Braves are completing 47.2 (34-for-72) percent of their third downs this season and 55.6 percent (15-for-27) of their fourth down conversions.
Madysen Carrera leads OU in rushing with 514 yards and 13 touchdowns. She is averaging 6.7 yards per rush. Carrera has thrown for 2,388 yards and 35 touchdowns. She is completing 72 percent of her passes and is averaging 217.1 passing yards per game.
Clara Beaudoin leads OU in receptions with 59. She has 493 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
Alyssa Linkous is Ottawa's leader in receiving yards with 760. She also leads Ottawa in receiving touchdowns with 11 and has 49 receptions in 2022.
Jazlyn Camacho has 49 receptions, 554 receiving, and eight receiving touchdowns.
Abby Brown leads the Braves in tackles with 59,
Hannah Serquina had 42 tackles and 10 sacks, and
Alyssa Gillespie has 40 tackles and 11 tackles for loss.
Ottawa had 15 players earn All-KCAC honors, two KCAC Players of the Year, and
Liz Sowers was named KCAC Coach of the Year for the second straight season. Three Braves also earned All-KCAC honors in two difference positions.
Madysen Carrera was named Co-KCAC Player of the Year for the second straight season and earned Second Team All-KCAC at quarterback.
Abby Brown was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Year, for the second time, and earned First Team All-KCAC honors at linebacker.

Hannah Serquina,
Alyssa Gillespie,
Nina GraveDePeralta, and
Hailee McKay earned First Team All-KCAC honors at defense.
Addison Orsborn was named Second Team All-KCAC at running back.
Briana Bido and
Jennifer Anthony earned Second Team All-KCAC honors at defense.
Jazlyn Camacho was named Second Team punt specialist.
Bailey Hodgins and
Courtney Wille were Honorable Mention All-KCAC selections.
Alyssa Gillespie was Honorable Mention at rusher and
Faron Malouff earned Honorable Mention honors at defensive back.
Kansas Wesleyan University finished with an overall record of 7-6 and second in the KCAC with a mark of 6-2. OU is 7-0 against the Coyotes. KWU finished its season by winning three of its last four games.
Midland University placed fourth in the KCAC with a mark of 3-6. The Warriors had an overall record of 3-9. Ottawa has an overall record of 5-0 against MU.
The University of Saint Mary had an overall and KCAC record of 4-6, placing third in the conference. The Spires finished the season on a two game winning streak. Ottawa has a record of 3-0 against USM.
Cottey College has an overall record of 1-9 and finished in fifth in the KCAC with a mark of 0-8. The Comets finished the regular season on a four game losing streak. OU has a record of 3-0 against the CC.
