Ottawa, KAN. – The Ottawa University women's soccer program is pleased to announce the signing of Makena Tapia for the 2025-26 school year. Tapia is a native of Roseville, California and attends Woodcreek High School.

Tapia is a member of the soccer team at Woodcreek, and has played both volleyball and beach volleyball as well. She was named Second Team All-Capital Valley Conference in 2022-23, and First Team All-CVC in 2023-24.

Tapia is the daughter of Max and Kelli Tapia and plans to major in biology. She played club for Placer United under coach Todd DeCarlo.
