Karina Ramirez

Coach Ramirez is in her first season as a graduate assistant coach with the OU softball program.

Ramirez comes to Ottawa University from Cottey College in Nevada, Mo. where she was a five year letterman on the Comet softball team. In her four years at CC, Ramirez had a .376 batting average (193-526), hit 25 doubles, two triples, and three home runs. She drove in 69 runs, walked 88 times, and stole 124 bases. Ramirez was a Daktronic Scholar Athlete, earned the 2023 Leadership Award, was named to the 2021 and 2022 Continental Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team, earned Association of Independent Institution All-Conference honors in 2020 and 2021, and was a First Team All-Region selection in 2021. She was named Second Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference, was named to the Gold Glove Team, and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2024.

Ramirez graduated from Cottey College with a degree in psychology in May of 2024. She is working on her MBA in sports business from Ottawa University.
