Ashan Jordan

Coach Jordan is in his second season as head coach of the OU men's volleyball program.

In Jordan's first season, the Braves finished with an overall record of 5-17 and placed fifth in the GPAC with a mark of 3-7. Six Braves were named to the All-GPAC Teams and two earned Daktronic Scholar Athlete honors. Ottawa finished the season ranked 39th in the NAIA in kills per set (10.9), 37th in total attacks (2,469), 38th in assists per set (10.2), 25th in digs (946), third in digs per set (11.82), 40th in solo blocks (44), 35th in block assists (231), 36th in total blocks (160), 25th in blocks per set (1.99), and 38th in points per set (14.0).

Jordan, before being named head men’s volleyball coach, was a graduate assistant coach with the OU men’s and women’s volleyball programs. He helped with practices and worked with the volleyball program’s community service projects.
 
Jordan was a four year letterman on the volleyball court of the Braves, earning First Team All-GPAC honors in 2022 and 2021 and Second Team All-Midwest Conference honors in 2019. He was named GPAC Attacker Player of the Week eight times, was team captain in 2021 and 2022, and was named NAIA Attacker of the Week in 2019. Jordan finished his career with 819 kills, 30 service aces, 420 digs, and 127 blocks.

Jordan graduated from Ottawa University with a degree in business administration with a concentration in leadership and communication. He earned his MBA in Health Population and Health Care Management. Jordan was a member of OU S.A.L.T and was classroom support at Eisenhower Middle School in Topeka, Kan.
