Wichita, KAN. - The Ottawa men's bowling team opened their season with a 14th place finish at the Mid-States Championships in Wichita last weekend.
The Braves bowled six team games on Saturday, posting a 5,741 total in those games.
Matthew Berg finished 19th with a 1,250 total for six games, and
Joseph Enderle finished 45 with 1,153 pins for six games. on Sunday, Ottawa posted a 2,770 baker total for 16 games to bring their overall total to 8,521 and slot them in 14th place.
Coach Maida's Thoughts
"It was a slower start than we had hoped for, but we have a lot of season ahead of us to correct the mistakes and show that we are true contenders."
Coach Poston's Thoughts
"Our guys need to show more of a "competitive edge" with our attitudes. We are really talented up and down the entire roster. I look forward to seeing us put a complete weekend together starting Saturday."

Ottawa returns to the lanes this weekend as they are at the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge on October 26-27. The men will be bowling at Gage Bowl in Topeka, Kansas.
