Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa men's and women's bowling teams have a four day stretch of bowling as they compete in the Glenn Carlson Invitational and the Collegiate Shoot-Out in Las Vegas.
- The two teams came off a break last weekend at Mustang Invitational I and II. The men finished second on Saturday with a 4,893 pinfall, and
Matthew Berg and
Joseph Enderle made the All-Tournament team in third and fourth place. On Sunday, the Braves posted a 4,636 pinfall to finish in fifth place. The women finished second on both days, with a 4,247 pinfall on Saturday and a 4,228 pinfall on Sunday.
Jadyn Barr made the Saturday All-Tournament team in third place.
- Ottawa competed at both Las Vegas tournaments last season. In the Glenn Carlson Invitational, the men finished 22nd with an 8,255 pinfall. They finished 20th in the Collegiate Shoot-Out with an 8,778 total.
- The women had a very successful Las Vegas trip last season. In the Glenn Carlson Invitational, they posted an 8,564 total for nine team games, qualifying in 6th place for the matchplay bracket. They beat SCAD 3-1 in the quarterfinals and swept Spring Arbor 3-0 in the semifinals before falling to Wichita State in the championship match, 0-3.
Jadyn Barr finished ninth and
Holly Bridges finished 20th. In the Collegiate Shoot-Out, Ottawa once again qualified in 6th with an 8,628 total. They finished 2nd in their semifinal pod, putting them in the championship pod, where they finished fourth.
Gabriella Hernandez finished 10th and
Allie Williams finished 14th.
