The Braves split with Columbia College on Wednesday afternoon in Columbia, Mo. Ottawa was defeated 4-1 in game two but bounced back to take game two, 7-2. In the two games, Ottawa had a .276 batting average (16-for-58), scored eight runs, hit two doubles and two triples, drove in six runs, had a .379 slugging percentage, walked eight times, struck out 13, had a .323 on base percentage, and was 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts. OU's pitching staff finished the double header with a 2.69 ERA, five strike outs, and Columbia had a .208 batting average.

The first meeting between the two teams happened on April 5, 2008 at the OCU Tournament in Oklahoma City, Okla. OU won the game 3-0. The Braves are 4-2 against the Owls at Alumni Park.
William Wood has opened the season with a record of 4-3, has a 1-1 road mark, and enters Saturday's double header coming off a split with the University of Saint Mary on Feb. 18. The Owls lost game one to the Spires, 4-1 but rebounded to take game two, 9-5.
