(17) Softball and Missouri Valley Meet at Alumni Park on Tuesday

Ottawa is on a three game winning streak after sweeping William Woods University on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Park. The Braves took game one, 8-0, and game two, 3-2. OU hit .354 , had 17 hits, scored 11 runs, hit one double, drove in nine runs, had a .375 slugging percentage, walked eight times, struck out three, had a .475 on base percentage, and was 10-for-13 in stolen base attempts.

Addison Spencer had a .800 batting average in those two games against William Woods. She scored two runs, had a 2.000 slugging percentage, walked once, finished with a 1.000 on base percentage and stole one base.

This season, Ottawa has a .327 batting average, a .405 on base percentage, and a .462 slugging percentage. OU has hit six home runs and has scored 107 runs.

The Braves are ranked sixth in the NAIA in runs (107), fifth in hits (138), 24th in doubles (21), first in triples (9), 29th in home runs (6), fourth in RBI (98), 13th in extra base hits (36), seventh in total bases (195), eighth in walks (51), 23rd in hit by a pitch (8), eighth in sacrifice flies (6), fifth in stolen bases (38), 48th in on base percentage (.405), 49th in slugging percentage (.462), 32nd in ERA (1.87), 34th in WHIP (1.09), sixth in shutouts (4), 13th in at bats against (375), and 27th in opponent batting average (.221).

Missouri Valley College has started the season with a record of 1-5. The Vikings split their double header with the University of Saint Mary on Feb. 21 in Leavenworth. MVC won its first game of the season, taking game one, 6-2. The Spires won game two, 9-1.

This season the Vikings have a .241 batting average, a .282 on base percentage, and a .364 slugging percentage. Missouri Valley has hit four home runs, and has scored 20 runs.

Hailey Simons leads the Vikings with a .400 batting average in six games. Caitlyn Vela and Quinlynn Keller lead MVC with three RBI apiece. Chloe Shuff leads Missouri Valley with a 4.00 ERA and Cherrelee Miles is MVC's leader in strike outs (11).

In Missouri Valley's two road games this season, the Vikings are hitting .333, have a .345 on base percentage, and a .456 slugging percentage. They have 19 hits in 57 at bats, driving in six runs.
