OTTAWA, Kan. - The #11 Ottawa University women's wrestling team is headed to the Saint Mary Spire Open on Friday, January 31
st.
The Braves last competed at the Warrior Duals and Warrior Open, the Braves fell to Campbellsville, Life, Lindsey Wilson and Indiana Tech. At the Warrior Open,
Aynsley Fink won one match by fall in the 110lb weight class.
Addison Saporito secured a win in the 117lb weight class on a fall.
Peyton Hand won three matches in the 124lb weight class.
Emma Truex earned a win in the 131lb weight class on a fall.
Livia Swift won by a fall in the 138lb weight class.
Kaydence Bonewell took home sixth place after winning three matches in the 145lb weight class.
Darby Weidl placed fourth overall in the 160lb weight division by winning three matches as well.
Hannah Jackson earned second place in the 207lb weight class by going 3-1 in her matches.
Kena Leonard placed fourth overall in the 207lb and won three matches.
Shae Salinas won one match in the 117lb weight class.
Camryn Mather won a match in the 131lb weight class.
Lainey Farley and
Madison Rich picked up a win each in the 131lb weight division.
GiGi Jones earned seventh place in the 160lb weight class by winning three matches.
Faith Spicer took home fourth place in the 207lb and she won three matches.
Ottawa is ranked 11
th for the second consecutive time in the NAIA Top 20 Poll.
Aynsley Fink is back in the rankings at #19 in the 110lb weight class.
Kendall Martin is 19
th in the 117lb weight division.
Peyton Hand moves up to 10
th in the 124lb weight class.
Livia Swift is 14
th in the 138lb weight division.
Leilani Caamal is ranked in the 145lb weight class at #19.
Darby Weidl is sixth in the 160lb weight division.
Kaylee Davis and
Ciera Hutton-Spieker are ranked in the 180lb weight class, Davis is 14
th and Hutton-Spieker is 20
th.

th in the 207lb.
In 2023, Ottawa competed at the Spire Open. Erin Wetterstrom earned third place in the 101lb weight division, Wetterstrom's won four matches on the day, two by technical falls and one by falls.
Alejandra Mezano placed fourth overall in the 109lb weight class by winning three matches.
Addison Saporito secured second place in the 116lb weight class, Saporito took down three opponents.
Livia Swift went 5-2 on the day in the 143lb weight class and earned fourth. In the 220lb weight class,
Hannah Jackson won the division by going 3-0, Jackson won her matches by decision, technical fall and fall.
