CRETE, Neb. – The #11 Ottawa University women's wrestling team had four wrestlers place at the Doane Open on Saturday.
Peyton Hand,
Darby Weidl,
Kaylee Davis and
Hannah Jackson all placed at the Open.
Almarwa Alkhalil and
Alsafa Alkhalil both won one match in the 103lb weight division.
Aynsley Fink took down three opponents in the 110lb weight division, wins on a fall, technical fall and a decision.
Jazmin Haller won one match on a fall in the 117lb weight class.
Peyton Hand took home second place in the 124lb weight division, Hand went 5-1 in her matches and won four of them by falls.
Addison Saporito won four matches in the 124lb weight division. In the 131lb weight class,
Camryn Mather took down two opponents and
Lainey Farley won one match.
Livia Swift went 4-2 in the 138lb weight division, winning three of the matches by falls.
Kaydence Bonewell and
Leilani Caamal each won two matches in the 145lb weight class.
Darby Weidl secured first place in the 160lb weight division, she won all six of her matches and won the first place match on a fall in 53 seconds.
Abigail Sebesta,
GiGi Jones and
Haley Flores also won matches in the 160lb weight class, Sebesta and Jones picked up two wins and Flores had one.
Kaylee Davis earned third place in the 180lb weight division, Davis defeated four opponents by falls.
Ciera Hutton-Spieker had five wins and
Siara Arrington had three in the 180lb as well.
Hannah Jackson competed in the 207lb weight class and came in third place, Jackson won six matches to take home third.
